A man has been formally charged after a woman was seriously injured in a stabbing.

According to the Preble County Sheriff’s Office, David Daniels, 45, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and domestic violence.

As News Center 7 previously reported, the Preble County Sheriff’s Office and the Free Police Department were called to Parrish Drive Monday morning for reports of a “domestic situation,” according to Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson.
When police arrived on the scene, they saw a woman in the driveway who had been stabbed.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains in critical condition.
According to the sheriff’s office, Daniels and the woman have lived together for several years and have children together.
He has been convicted of domestic violence seven times before.
Daniels’ bail was set at $500,000.
