The 2024 NFL Draft is in the books. But that doesn’t mean players joining teams are over.
Undrafted free agents are starting to sign now, and NFL history shows us that there are plenty of gems to be found among them.
One of the most exciting moves yet: Southern Miss running back Frank Gore Jr., son of NFL legend Frank Gore, reportedly signs with the Buffalo Bills, while Missouri State wide receiver Terique Owens, son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell reportedly signed with his father’s old team, the San Francisco 49ers. Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman is also reportedly signing with the Washington Commanders.

Choice No. 255:
Penn State CB Kalen King falling all the way to the seventh round is interesting. A year ago expectations were high for him. Packers might have gotten one here, if they can turn it around again.

Browns at 243: Cincinnati DT Jowon Briggs. Man with a lot of effort and high motor skills. Browns deep at DT clearly wanted him in the program and knew he would go elsewhere if he wasn’t drafted.
That’s a summary of the 2024 draft class. There’s plenty more coverage to come.
