Northern Lights briefly visible in the Miami Valley

The Northern Lights were visible in the Miami Valley on Sunday evening.

Around 8 p.m., Storm Center 7 weather specialist Nick Dunn said conditions finally allowed parts of the Miami Valley to catch a glimpse of the celestial phenomenon.

Although the Northern Lights may not be visible to you with the naked eye, you can get great images with your smartphone or professional camera.

If you put your camera in long exposure and night mode. This allows your lens to capture colors better. You want to get away from the city lights and give your eyes time to adjust to the darkness.
