CHICAGO (CBS) — A Chicago suburb is embracing the cicada invasion of the area.
Although the crickets invading downtown Glen Ellyn probably look better than the ones in someone’s backyard.
A few cicada sculptures are now on display as part of a public art project.
Twenty-five hand-painted plaster crickets now line the streets of Glen Ellyn.
All on planters, benches and other places.
Each room was decorated by local artists and entrepreneurs.
The Cicadas on Parade show will be on display until Labor Day.
