CHICAGO (CBS) — A pedestrian was struck early Sunday morning while crossing the Dan Ryan Expressway, Illinois State Police reported.
The accident happened just after 3:30 a.m. on southbound I-94 near 43rd Street.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the pedestrian attempted to cross the lane and was struck by a passing vehicle, which remained at the scene.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries.
The southbound lanes were closed for investigation.
