PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Tuesday will bring another day of sunshine and warmer weather, although high temperatures will dip slightly from the 80s we saw on Monday.
The day starts off a little cooler than yesterday, but anyone who thought Monday’s high of 84 degrees was too warm too early should like today’s forecast.
Highs today will reach the mid 70s with abundant sunny skies. Expect a light breeze and a slight drop in humidity.
Allergy prediction
Tree, weed and grass pollen are all still at extreme levels.
And if you’re feeling like this allergy season is especially tough, you’re not alone. Doctors say the spring allergy season is longer and more intense than in the past due to global warming. Around Philadelphia, spring flowers and budding trees look beautiful, but they are also responsible for causing a spike in allergy symptoms.
Phillies again
It will be a perfect night of baseball as the Philadelphia Phillies continue their home game against the Colorado Rockies. The first pitch has been rescheduled for 6:40 PM
The temperature will be around 72 degrees during tailgating, and since no rain is forecast, there is no need to pack the emergency poncho.
More rain midweek
Wednesday morning starts early, but clouds start to appear around 10am. A shower of rain will reach the city and suburbs by 2:30 p.m., likely bringing showers for the evening commute.
At this time the system does not appear to be serious.
Scattered showers continue Thursday, and an easterly wind will keep conditions cloudy, damp and chilly, with high temperatures only rising into the 50s.
It looks drier on Friday, but a front may bring showers on Saturday.
