Oct. 21—MOSES LAKE — Motorists should expect single lane closures and flag-controlled traffic at intersections in Moses Lake and Quincy this week. Washington Department of Transportation contractors will work on traffic lights at intersections in those cities, both day and night.
Workers will be replacing and improving traffic lights throughout the week.
According to a WSDOT news release, crews will be working on controller boxes and covers at three intersections in Moses Lake and two in Quincy. Other work is planned in Chelan, Peshastin and Omak.
Crews will be working on State Route 17 at the intersections with Yonezawa Boulevard, Patton Drive and Interstate 90. They will work during the day, so drivers should expect the closure of shoulder and right lanes, the news release said.
Repairs are also planned for the intersection of Central Avenue South and State Route 28 in Quincy, and here too, motorists should be ready to close the shoulder and right turn lanes.
Traffic signal work at Third Avenue Southeast and SR 28 in Quincy will require the signal to be turned off so that work will take place Monday through Friday between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Drivers should be aware of lane closures and flag-controlled traffic at that intersection, the news release said.
