The more, the merrier.

But what if you already have enough? Do things remain cheerful?

That question should be answered soon for the Detroit Red Wings. Earlier today they announced the recall of Ville Husso.

Husso played for the Grand Rapids Griffins in the AHL.

After three games in the AHL, the Red Wings have decided to join Husso in the fray. In those games, he posted a 2-0-0 record, 1.23 goals against average (GAA) and a .958 save percentage (SV%).

Husso struggled in his only NHL start this season. On October 10, he allowed four goals on 14 shots, giving him a putrid 9.42 GAA and a .714 SV%.

Because this move is accompanied by an asterisk, it indicates under emergency circumstances that the health of either Alex Lyon or Cam Talbot is uncertain for tonight’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

More information should come when the Red Wings take the ice for their morning skate in Toronto.
