Richmond County Sheriff’s Deputy Arrested in Harlem; resigns

A Richmond County Sheriff’s Office deputy resigned Tuesday after being arrested in Harlem.

Just before 9:30 p.m. Monday, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Internal Affairs Division was notified that RCSO Deputy Terence Driggers had been arrested at his home by Harlem Police for a domestic incident, according to a news release from the Richmond Sheriff’s Office County.

Driggers was off duty at the time of the incident, the news release said.

Driggers began working for the sheriff’s office on March 14, 2015, and was assigned to highway patrol, according to the agency. He resigned on Tuesday.

“This incident will follow the same course as any other criminal investigation and no other information will be provided at this time,” the news release said.
