Last night’s game between the New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers was action packed.
Devils’ Samuel Laberge and Flyers’ Sawyer Boulton dropped the gloves not once but twice in a game after a very scary moment in the first tilt.
Sawyer is the son of Eric Boulton, who played for the Devils in 2011-2012. Fortunately, he was fine and returned to the game after going to the locker room.
In the second period, Boulton and Laberge decided to drop the gloves again; this time it ended with Laberge going down first.
The Devils’ main squad will play tomorrow in the NHL Global Series in Prague against the Buffalo Sabres. The lineup that has played the last few pre-season games is more of the AHL Utica Comets lineup.
If Boulton is sent to the AHL, the Utica vs. Lehigh Valley Phantoms games will become much more interesting, with what appears to be a bit of a rivalry between these two.
