Saturday’s scheduled 25th annual How Weird Street Faire in San Francisco’s SoMa district is postponed due to the predicted rain and windaccording to event organizers.
The annual celebration of “craziness and creativity” with an all-day festival of electronic music on multiple stages announced the postponement on the festival’s website on Friday.
The celebration is one of the longest running dance festivals on the West Coast.
“How Weird St. Faire on Saturday, May 4 is postponed due to severe weather,” according to a statement on the website’s home page. “Over half an inch of rain is forecast and there are wind gusts of 60 km per hour for Saturday afternoon, posing a risk to public safety.”
A form you can fill out for ticket refunds is available on the How Weird Street Faire website.
The festival said they planned to hold the 25th edition of the fest on June 22, although that date was still pending city approval.
