(CBS-DETROIT) — The up-and-coming Detroit Lions host the Chicago Bears at Ford Field on Thanksgiving, but that’s not the only entertainment scheduled for the day.
The team announced six times on Sunday Grammy-nominated artist Shaboozey will perform during halftime.
His hit single “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has topped the Billboard Hot 100 longer than any other song, spending the last 29 weeks on the list. He was recently named to Time’s 100 Next List and nominated for two CMA Awards.
“Acclaimed singer-songwriter Shaboozey is building his own world as he navigates the alternative country and hip-hop world,” the Lions said in a statement.
Shaboozey, born Collins Obinna Chibueze, was in Detroit on November 6 to support Jelly Roll on its “Beautifully Broken” tour.
This season marks the 85th time the Lions have played on Thanksgiving. Last season, Detroit lost 29-22 to the Green Bay Packers.
Kickoff for the NFC North battle is 12:30 p.m
