ST. CLOUD, Min. – Police say a 32-year-old St. Cloud man is expected to face several criminal charges after a domestic violence standoff early Saturday.

Officers were called to a home at 12th Street South and 4th Avenue South, just west of the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center, just after 5 a.m. on a report of an armed man attacking family members.

Police say several family members, including children, were able to leave the home with minor injuries. An adult family member reported that the suspect struck them with a firearm.

After an hour-long standoff, the suspect surrendered to officers. According to police, there were several firearms in the home.

The suspect is expected to be charged with charges including second-degree assault, domestic violence, malicious punishment of a child and making threats of violence.
