State Patrol searching for driver who fled fatal crash in Eagan

One person was killed in a crash in Eagan on Saturday, and the Minnesota State Patrol is still looking for one of the drivers, but not the one who ran a red light.

According to a news release from the Minnesota State Patrol, Abby Marie Doepke Loughran, 41, of Eagan, was driving a Lincoln MKX SUV east on Hwy. 55 in Eagan just after 3 p.m. when she ran a red light and struck a car turning left in front of her.

State Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow said in a social media post that one person in the spinning car was killed and another injured.

Loughran, who was not injured, remained at the scene of the crash. But Grabow said the other driver ran away.

According to Grabow, the driver had not been found as of Sunday evening and state police had not yet been able to confirm the identities of the dead and injured.
