And what better way to commemorate the end of the cicada breeding season than by having your own cicada bobblehead statue?
Here’s how to get a limited edition cicada bobblehead.
What does the cicada bobblehead look like?
Each cicada bobblehead figure features a full-color, full-body cicada sitting on a patch of grass.
The cicada’s head wiggles in a way that resembles the movements of a real cicada.
According to the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, which manufactures and sells the cicada bobblehead, each statuette is three 3 inches tall and 7 inches wide.
“Placed on a base with its name on the front with a grass-like texture on it, the cicada bobblehead has its prominent red eyes widely spaced, short antennae and membranous wings,” according to a news release from the bobblehead museum. “The bobbleheads, which will be individually numbered, are only available through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum online store.”
How to get your own cicada bobblehead figurine
