Two former UFC fighters went head to head in the Karate Combat pit and the fight ended in a merciless knockout.
Former UFC lightweights James Vick and Rafael Alves clashed in the main event of Karate Kombat 47, which took place in Orlando, Florida. Alves left the fight victorious by viciously putting Vick away with a head kick that left him flat on the canvas. .

Vick is now 3-4 since leaving the UFC in 2019, including fights in boxing, MMA and karate. He is currently fighting 1-2 under Karate Combat. Vick notably fought for the UFC from 2013 to 2019 and at one point topped the UFC’s lightweight division with a 9-1 run.
Alves, who had just four fights in the UFC from 2021 to 2023, remains undefeated since his UFC release. He scored a submission victory under MMA rules in October and is now 2-0 in Karate Combat. In his last appearance, he defeated former UFC fighter Efrain Escudero.
