NASHUA, NH – Police are looking for three people they say were involved in an armed robbery of a USPS mail carrier Tuesday afternoon.
It happened in the quiet area off Blacksmith Way just after 2.40pm. Video from a doorbell camera shows the mailman returning to his USPS truck when two masked men approach him with guns drawn.
Suspects looking for master keys
They appear to ask the postman for something and the video shows the man somehow complying. Neighbors told WBZ-TV that the mailman later told them the robbers were after him master keys.
According to police, the two men jumped into a getaway car driven by a woman. Police described it as a dark-colored Yukon with Massachusetts license plates.
“It’s shocking,” Myrom Rodriguez-Núñez said. “I have four children of my own. There are plenty of other children here day in and day out.”

Neighbors said the incident happened just minutes before the bus dropped the children off from their school day. They describe the cul-de-sac as family-friendly, with dozens of children who often play outside.
People who live around here say the postman has been driving this route for years and is described as a kind, hardworking and considerate person.
“It’s scary that he has to go through this,” Joscelyn Cross said. “We moved here about six months ago because it was a quiet and calm neighborhood. It’s really scary to hear this because it’s like, are we safe?”
The USPS said armed robbery of a postal worker carries a prison sentence of up to 25 years. The agency said the postal worker in this case was unharmed.
