Mets sign OF Jackie Bradley Jr.

The Mets bolster their outfield depth by signing Jackie Bradley Jr. to a minor league deal, according to multiple reports.

Bradley will report to Triple-A Syracuse.

The 34-year-old played for the Independent League Long Island Ducks, where he was in the midst of a 28-game streak in which he recorded a base hit.

During the series, Bradley hit .471 with a .537 OBP.

Bradley last played in the majors in 2023 for the Kansas City Royals, where he hit just .133/.188/.210 in 43 games.

Bradley was a regular center fielder during his prime with the Boston Red Sox. He was named an All-Star in 2016 and won a Gold Glove in 2018.

In 11 seasons in the major leagues with the Royals, Toronto Blue Jays, Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers, Bradley has a batting average of .225/.303/.381.

Last season he was still a good defender, when he was worth 4 DRS.
