Investigators are looking for the driver who fatally struck a motorcyclist in Lancaster on Monday.
According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detectives, it happened on Avenue K, just east of 42nd Street West, around 9:40 p.m.
“Preliminary investigation indicates that a male adult was ejected from his motorcycle for an unknown reason,” said LASD Detective Ryan Ament. “The man was thrown into the eastbound lane of Avenue K and was subsequently struck by an unknown white sedan.”
Instead of stopping to help, officers believe the driver fled the area.
No information was immediately available on the identity of the victim, a possible suspect or the vehicle involved.
