An Ohio woman has been charged with clogging a prison toilet and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.
Dasia Chappell, 26, of Cleveland, was accused of intentionally clogging a toilet while in prison and causing a flood that damaged the facility. CBS affiliate WOIO reported.
Cuyahoga County court documents obtained by News Center 7 show Chappell failed to appear for her scheduled arraignment twice in less than a month.
According to court documents, she was charged with vandalism on June 10.
According to police, Chappell “intentionally flooded” the Solon Detention Facility on May 27 while she was being held there.

According to prison guards, she “stuffed a towel and toilet paper into the toilet of the cell she was in and flushed it repeatedly.”
The overflowing toilet caused the women’s dormitory, prison lobby and main control hallway to flood, CBS affiliate WOIO reported.
According to researchers, the water damage hampered the prison’s operations.
Court documents show Chappell posted a $5,000 bond and was released from jail on May 30 after the flood.
Her bail was forfeited after she missed her second court appearance and a warrant was issued for her arrest on July 25.
