PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Eagles CEO Jason Kelce is heading to Monday Night Football, CBS Sports reported Monday. Kelce is expected to participate as an analyst on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown” this season.
According to The Athletic, multiple networks have reportedly expressed interest in hiring Kelce.
CBS News Philadelphia contacted ESPN, which neither confirmed nor denied the report.
Kelce announced his farewell to the Eagles after 13 seasons in March. He co-hosts the popular podcast “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce,” along with his brother Kansas City Chiefs tight end (and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend) Travis Kelce.
Amazon followed Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie during the 2022 season for a documentary titled “Kelce”, released on Prime Video.
Last season, during Philadelphia’s bye week, Jason Kelce appeared on Amazon’s broadcast as a guest analyst on Thursday Night Football for a game between the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers.
Last April, Jason Kelce and his former linemate Lane Johnson – and their green luchador masks – helped Rey Mysterio defeated his son “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 40 at Lincoln Financial Field.
Before Jason Kelce visits the booth for ESPN in the fall, he will do so again famous bartender on Ocean Drive in Sea Isle City to raise money for the Eagles Autism Foundation. It marks the fourth year in a row that the recently retired Eagles center will use a celebrity bartender to raise money for the foundation.
The NFL schedule has yet to be released, but Jason Kelce will likely get a chance to be on “Monday Night Countdown” before Eagles games this upcoming season.
