From the National Weather Service:
Scattered thunderstorms will move across the area Monday afternoon and early evening. Some of these storms could be strong to severe, with damaging winds being the primary threat. However, cases of damaging hail are also possible.
Severe Weather Threat Continues Across Central US; Critical fire service in New Mexico
Severe thunderstorms are expected to continue across the Central Plains into the Midwest on Monday. Thunderstorms are also possible Monday afternoon in parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley, extending into Lower Michigan. In addition, gusty winds and low humidity will create critical fire conditions in western New Mexico and southeastern Arizona on Monday.
