Despite modern chairlifts, chic lodges and groomed slopes, skiers are often reminded that the mountains they recreate in are still very impressive. wild.
Recently, skiers at the Lake Louise Ski Resort in Alberta, Canada, were treated to a rare encounter with a nest of lynx in the middle of a popular trail. Tap the video to watch below.

Seeing a lone lynx in the wild, let alone several, is a special event. According to the Edmonton & Area Land Trust, lynx are known to be elusive nocturnal hunters and are rarely seen in broad daylight.
Defined as the size of a “very large domestic cat”Lynx do not pose an immediate threat to humans, but caution should be exercised if encountered.
The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry recommends the following safety tips if you encounter a lynx in the wild:

Never approach the animal, especially if it is near prey or has young.

Never offer him food.

Don’t run, a cat’s instinct is to chase.

When you are with others, stick together and act as a group.

Look at the animal and talk firmly as you slowly walk backwards.

Always leave the animal an escape route.

Don’t stoop or try to hide, just try to look bigger.

Do not take your eyes off the animal or turn your back.
-
If the animal does not flee, be more assertive by yelling, waving your arms, and throwing whatever is available.
